O’Reilly USMTS Hancock County Speedway Fast Facts


WHAT: USMTS.com Iowa Spring Challenge -- races #5 and 6 of the 2005 O’Reilly Auto Parts United States Modified Touring Series.

WHEN: Friday and Saturday, April 1-2, 2005. (raindate Sunday, April 3)

TRACK: Hancock County Speedway, 4/10-mile semi-banked dirt oval.

LOCATION: Britt, Iowa.

DIRECTIONS: Hancock County Speedway is located 1.3 miles south of U.S. Hwy. 18 on James St. (turns into Main Ave. and Diagonal and 1st), then 0.5 mile east on 220th Ave., then 0.1 mile north on Jewel Ave., then east (at the Hancock County Fairgrounds).

STARTING FIELD: 24 cars will start the Holley "A" Main each night, with qualifying through heat races and "B" Mains. The top 13 cars in Home Pride Passing Points accumulated in the heat races will be locked into the Holley "A" Main each night. An additional 9 cars will qualify from the "B" Mains, with two provisional starters added to the Holley "A" Main to create the 24-car starting field. Additional sponsor provisional(s) may be awarded.

PURSE: Friday - $2,000 to win, $200 to start; Saturday - $3,000 to win, $250 to start.
