Corey Dripps, 2nd in USMTS points, heads to Britt, Iowa

WATERLOO, Iowa -- Corey Dripps travels to Hancock County Speedway (Britt, IA) this weekend for a United States Modified Touring Series double-header weekend. Dripps sits second in USMTS point standings, and he looks to try to reclaim the top spot after this weekend.

"We had a rough weekend in Mayette, KS," stated driver Corey Dripps. "It costs us the (USMTS) points lead. It's still early, and I think we will be a player in Britt and through out the season."

The Yeager Machine, Pro Environmental Abatement, Big Cock Chassis number "31" has been fast since the start of the season, and Corey Dripps Racing, along with Rob and Becky Jorgenson Racing, have been working hard on the new chassis changes for 2005.

"We made a few changes to the chassis during the off season," explained Dripps. "We think this will really help the car off the corners. We've continued to tweak it, and it has been a rocket off the corners."

After two nights at Hancock County Speedway, race fans can catch the "31" at Southern Iowa Speedway (Oskaloosa, IA) on April 8 & 9. After that, the team rolls into Wisconsin for a double-bill at Fox Ridge Speedway (Arcadia, WI) on April 14 and 15.
