Hejna Brothers Racing homecoming this weekend in Britt
VENTURA, Iowa -- Hejna Brothers Racing hit home ground this weekend as they compete in a double header weekend with the Untied States Modified Touring Series at Hancock County Speedway (Britt, IA). Friday, April 1st and Saturday, April 2nd the Hejna Brothers look to gain valuable USMTS Points in their backyard.
"We've made repairs to the car, and we are ready," explained Al Hejna. Al Hejna was involved in an accident the last weekend the USMTS raced, and that knocked him out of the Top 10 in USMTS Points. "We're looking to rebound in front of the home crowd."
"We're ready," added Mike Hejna, Al's brother. "Al's car is ready, and so is mine. It's always great to race in front of the hometown fans."
The 4/10 mile dirt over in Britt, IA will come to life Friday with hot laps at 6:30 pm and heat races at 7:00. On Saturday, hot laps are scheduled for 3:30 pm with the heat races set for 4:00 pm.
The Budweiser, Skyrocket Chassis number 7's of Al and Mike Hejna always love to race in front of the hometown fans. Al and Mike know the added pressure of racing in their own backyard, but they love the challenge.
After Britt, IA, the schedule calls for Hejna Brothers Racing to hit the fast ½ mile oval in Oskaloosa, IA on April 8th & 9th. The next weekend will put Hejna Brothers Racing in Wisconsin at the Fox Ridge Speedway in Arcadia, WI.
