Christie Door Company doubling-down on USMTS drivers

Christie Door Company doubling-down on USMTS drivers

Christie Door Company will be doing a new program this year. The “racing for a reason” competition will challenge teams to place a wrap on their race car that supports a charitable organization. These wraps can be a salute to the military or a favorite charity, and the contest is open to USMTS and USRA competitors.

To enter the contest, send your contact information (name, phone and email) to promo@christiedoorpros.com. Include photos and write a brief description of what your tribute is about and how you support it with your race program. If there are websites or social media pages that explain your cause, please include links. Videos also welcome too.

To be eligible, you must compete in at least one USRA or USMTS event. Entry, including photos and supporting information, must be submitted by June 1. Featured tributes will be chosen and run periodically on Facebook to promote your cause.

A bracket will be built with all the entries and voting will take place for one week during each round. The winner from each round will then be paired up with the corresponding winner in their bracket and the two special event winners. Voting will again be tallied and the winners will again advance to the next round until a winner is determined. Four rounds will determine the winner.

Special event contests will take place during the USMTS Spring Meltdown on April 2 at the Hamilton County Speedway in Webster City, Iowa, and USMTS Double Down Showdown on May 26 at the Mason City Motor Speedway in Mason City, Iowa. At each event, eligible drivers will park their race cars on the front stretch and a winner chosen by applause during intermission.

Contest rewards:

First Place: $500
Second Place: $250
USMTS Spring Meltdown winner: $100 and advance to second round.
USMTS Double Down Showdown winner: $100 and advance to second round.

Each competitor taking part in the wrap contest should also display the Christie Door Company decal.

2022 season blasts off March 4-5: The Summit USMTS Modifieds will invade the Rocket Raceway Park in Petty, Texas, on Friday and Saturday, March 4-5, for the 12th Annual Texas Spring Nationals.

The fast and wide high-banked quarter-mile dirt oval, formerly known as 82 Speedway and East Texas Speedway, opened in 2015 and hosted the USMTS for the first and only time on June 25. Philip Houston was the winner that night.

The Texas Spring Nationals will also welcome USRA Stock Cars for the first time ever, along with USRA Limited Mods and USRA Factory Stocks both nights. An open practice for all divisions is slated for Thursday night, March 3.

The Rocket Raceway Park holds 3,400 spectators and its elevated grandstands offer superb viewing from any seat. The venue can be found in Lamar County—about 15 minutes west of Paris and 25 minutes east of Bonham.

The track’s physical location is 16369 US Hwy 82, Petty, TX 75470. Learn more at RocketRacewayPark.com or follow them on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
