<I>National Speedway Directory</I> co-founder retires


WILMETTE, Ill. - Frost Motorsports, LLC, a financial advisory firm for the motorsports industry, has acquired the National Speedway Directory from Allan Brown.

The deal includes www.speedwaysonline.com and the book The History of America’s Speedways.

Brown will remain as a consultant to the publication. He has been associated with National Speedway Directory for over 30 years. Widely recognized as an authoritarian on the history of auto racing, Brown has visited over 2,000 auto racing facilities. He, along with his wife Nancy, have received the RPM Promoters Workshops prestigious “Stew Reamer Award” for lifetime service to the weekly auto racing industry.

Frost Motorsports President Timothy Frost said, “National Speedway Directory is a highly respected publication. It is considered as the authoritative source for racing facility information. We are excited to continue the tradition, while exploring opportunities for growth.”

The National Speedway Directory is an information source for the motorsports industry. It prints listings of oval tracks, dragstrips, road courses, sanctions, publications, museums and race schedules. National Speedway Directory has been published annually since 1975.

Frost Motorsports has been providing consulting services to the motorsports industry, since 1998. The firm prepares feasibility, transactional, operational and litigation assistance to tracks, teams, drivers, sanctioning bodies and industry participants.

Advisors to this transaction included Cary Agajanian of Motorsports Management International and Donald Ornelas Jr. of Agajanian, McFall, Weiss, Tetreault & Crist, LLP.
