CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Here’s your chance to get sideways in the dirt with legendary dirt racer and NASCAR driver Ken Schrader.

The “racer’s racer” will be a guest instructor at Charlotte, N.C.’s Dirt Track Racing School on April 25.

“We’re excited to have Ken Schrader as a guest instructor,” said DTRS President Shawn Parker. “Not only does he love dirt racing, but he is also great with the fans. One of our goals at the school is to connect racers and fans of dirt track racing with the personalities that make the sport so great. Schrader is definitely one of those guys.”

Schrader’s career started at local dirt tracks just like the one he owns today in Pevely, Mo. He’s won in every division he’s raced in, including two USAC championships in 1982-83. Schrader currently races in excess of 80 races a year, many of which are in a Dirt Modified and often with the USMTS Casey’s General Stores National Tour.

Schrader will be interacting with DTRS students and assisting with instruction during the April 25 class at Carolina Speedway in Gastonia, N.C.

This special class will start at 12 noon.
