ELKO, Minn. - USMTS officials are reminding drivers that mufflers are mandatory at the Elko Speedway this Friday and Saturday, July 16-17, for the 2nd Annual AMSOIL Dirt Nationals.

The USMTS Casey’s General Stores National Tour will be competing on Friday and Saturday, July 16-17, with $2,000 earmarked for Friday’s winner and $3,000 going to the driver in victory lane on Saturday as the historic asphalt track is transformed into a dirt gridiron for the second year in a row.

Points will be awarded in the Yeager Machine Upper Midwest Region.

The pit area will open at 4 p.m. each day, with grandstand gates opening at 5, hot laps at 7 and racing at 7:30. Also appearing on the racing card both nights will be B-Mods and 360 Winged Sprints.

There will be a live band playing after the races each night as part of the weekend festivities.

The Elko Speedway is a 3/8-mile semi-banked clay (temporarily) oval located off of I-35 at Exit 76, then 1.6 miles west on CR 2, then 0.3 mile south on France Ave. in Elko, Minn. For more information, check out the track's website at www.elkospeedway.com or call 952-461-7223.
