Summit Southern Nationals kicks off October 30 in Kennedale

The 2nd Annual Summit Southern Nationals are once again heading for the Kennedale Speedway Park in Kennedale, Texas, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, October 31 through November 2. With more than 200 of the toughest dirt track racers in the nation converging on the quarter-mile clay oval, fans seeking one final racing fix before winter blows in will see some incredible action all three days. There will be a huge payout for the USMTS racers as well as the USRA Factory Stocks and USRA Limited Mods. All three classes will be competing in a complete show each day, so race one, two or three nights—whatever fits your schedule. Modifieds will be racing for $2000, $3000 and $5000 to win. Factory Stocks and Limited Mods will be racing for $1000, $1500 and $2000 to win.

For the Modifieds, this year's Summit USMTS Southern Series champ and 2019 USMTS national champion will emerge from this crown jewel blockbuster. For the Factory Stocks and Limited Mods, this is your “true car count” bonus event, so all drivers will get a minimum of 48 bonus points and up to as many cars are entered. This will have a dramatic effect on this year’s final national points battles in both divisions.

On Wednesday, we will have an open practice from 6-8:30 p.m. and that will likely be the only night for hot laps. Action kicks off Thursday and continues Friday and Saturday. With Halloween on Thursday, we will be having a trick-or-treating for the kids so please racers please bring some bags of candy for the youngsters. Anything exciting you want to do we will let all kids in the pits for one hour starting at 4:30 Thursday. We will also have a costume contest in the grandstands and will pay some cash for the best looking costume.

The entry fee is $150 for USMTS Modifieds and $50 for USRA Factory Stocks and USRA Limited Mods, and the entry fee covers the entire event whether you’re racing one, two or three days.
