GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. -- Officials from the Valley Speedway and the United States Modified Touring Series announced today that the USMTS Casey’s Cup Series event that was “snowed out” on March 8 has been rescheduled for April 18.

The new Thursday night slot will tie-in nicely with shows at the Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., on Friday, April 19, and Salina Highbanks Speedway in Pryor Creek, Okla., on Saturday, April 20.

A second date has also been added on Thursday, Aug. 22, during the Hunt for the USMTS Casey’s Cup – another date which fits with the following Friday-Saturday stops at Lakeside and Salina then too.

“I think it will bring in a lot of extra cars with three tracks that close,” said Valley Speedway promoter Dennis Shrout. “The August 22nd date for the Hunt race should work well also.”

Jason Hughes won the inaugural USMTS event at the Valley Speedway on April 17, 2011, and Ryan Gustin captured the victory last April while Chris Brown netted a USMTS national event win in June.
