GLENMORA, La. — On Saturday, April 26, the Thunder Valley Speedway in Glenmora, La., will be the site for the fourth race of the 2008 season for the O’Reilly USMTS Southern Series, series officials announced today along with new track promoter Richard Ford.

The event at the fast 1/4-mile high-banked clay oval will serve as the second half of a doubleheader weekend that kicks off on Friday, April 25, at the Speedarama Speedway in Lufkin, Texas. Both shows will carry a $2,000 top prize for the main event winner.

The addition of Thunder Valley Speedway brings the total to 25 O’Reilly USMTS Southern Series events for the 2008 campaign.

The O’Reilly USMTS Southern Series season will start on Friday, April 18, at Golden Triangle Raceway Park (formerly Motorama Speedway) in Beaumont, Texas, and move over to the Gator Motorplex in Willis, Texas, on Saturday night, April 19.
