La Monte, Lebanon, Monett await O’Reilly USMTS National Tour

LA MONTE, Mo. — After back-to-back doubleheaders to launch the 10th Anniversary Season for the United States Modified Touring Series, the O’Reilly USMTS National Tour is getting ready to showcase their talents with a tripleheader weekend in the Show-Me State this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 28-30, for the 5th Annual Missouri Nationals.

FRIDAY, MARCH 28 - LA RACEWAY, LA MONTE, MO

The action gets underway on Friday with the long-awaited return of America's Hottest Ticket on Dirt to the LA Raceway in La Monte. Last year's inaugural stop at the 3/8-mile semi-banked clay oval saw Jeremy Payne hold off eight-time O’Reilly USMTS National Champion Kelly Shryock to take the win. This year, Shryock returns to avenge his near-miss as the points leader in the Mo-Kan Region, along with dozens of worthy rivals.

Friday's show will be the third in the Mo-Kan Region, which means the Top Dog Bonus will take effect with the top-10 drivers in Mo-Kan Region points guaranteed a minimum $400 in prize money. Eligible drivers include Shryock and Jon Tesch, who sits just seven markers behind Shryock (203 to 196) in the rankings. The rest of the Top Dogs are Zack VanderBeek (173 points), Greg Skaggs (172), Johnny Bone Jr. (171), John Allen (171), Justin Boney (165), Jason Hughes (157), Dustin Boney (150) and Tommy Weder Jr. (147).

Race fans can pick up $2-off coupons on Friday at the Casey's General Stores location at 101 W. Front St. in La Monte. Al Hejna, driver of the #7 Casey's General Stores Modified will be on hand from 12-2 p.m. to meet and greet fans.
