NASCAR’s Kenny Wallace to battle O’Reilly USMTS National Tour at Adams County Speedway Tuesday night

CORNING, Iowa - When the O’Reilly USMTS National Tour invades the Adams County Speedway tomorrow (Tuesday, July 22), NASCAR fan favorite Kenny Wallace will strap on his helmet and stand on the gas as he competes with the Best of the Best on the Corning, Iowa, dirt oval.

In addtion to circling America's superspeedway with the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Wallace works as an on-air personality for SPEED Channel on shows such as NASCAR RaceDay and NASCAR Victory Lane. He was also featured on the show NASCAR Drivers: 360 on FX. He has two brothers who are also current or former NASCAR drivers: Rusty Wallace and Mike Wallace. As a child, Wallace’s boisterous behavior earned him the nickname “Herman,” after a mischievous cartoon character named Herman the German. Last season, Wallace was voted in by fans to compete in the NASCAR Nextel All-Star Challenge at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.

The rugged road warriors of the O’Reilly USMTS will be led into this Central States Region battle by Jason Hughes and Kelly Shryock, with the pair of rivals separated by just two points in the Central States Region.

Other drivers expected for Tuesday's tilt include Al Hejna, Zack VanderBeek, Dereck Ramirez, Ryan Gustin, Ron Ver Beek, Alan Mondus, Donovan Lodge, Colt Mather, Mark Noble, Richie Gustin Jr., Bryan Rowland, Dean Mahlstedt, Brandon Kenny, Scott Green, Cale Sponsler, Brad Pinkerton, Jeff Schluetter, Corey Dripps, Chris Spieker, Jake Neal, Nate Caruth, Tommy Weder Jr., Josh Truman, Michael Long, Brandon Banks, Steve Kosiski, David Holder, Steve Stewart, Scott Dickey, Carey Umbarger, Matt Waugh and Jerry King.

Pit gates will open at 4:30 p.m. and grandstand gates will swing open at 5:30. Hot laps are at 6:45 and the first green flag is scheduled to wave at 7:15.
