FERTILE, Iowa -- Six-time and defending O’Reilly USMTS champion and Team HTL member Kelly Shryock takes the series points lead into this weekend's action at Hancock County Speedway in Britt, Iowa. Shryock has forged an early season points lead on the strength of back-to-back wins at Thunderhill Speedway in Mayetta, Kan., on March 18-19. The wins extended Shryock's O’Reilly USMTS win streak to five at the high-banked speedplant.

Shryock looks to extend his points lead this Friday and Saturday in the "USMTS.com Iowa Spring Challenge" at Hancock County Speedway. The races will be the fifth and sixth of the season for the USMTS and of Swing #1 of the O’Reilly USMTS tour. Shryock currently holds a 52-point lead over Corey Dripps. Dripps held the points lead after a strong opening weekend at Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, Neb., but a 15th-place finish in Mayetta on night 2 allowed Shryock to assume the points lead. Jason Hughes, Brad McEwan and Mike Sorensen complete the top-5 in O’Reilly USMTS points.
