Red, White & Blue Nationals set to light up Tri-State Speedway

Dirt track racing fans are gearing up for an electrifying three-night event at Tri-State Speedway, scheduled for Thursday through Saturday, Sept. 11-13.

Announced earlier this year by USMTS and track officials, the Red, White & Blue Nationals will bring big money and high-octane action to fans of the Summit USMTS National Championship presented by RacinDirt, all while paying tribute to a defining moment in American history.

The weekend kicks off with Salute the Heroes Night on Thursday, honoring those who serve. Friday follows with Honor the Fallen Night, a poignant nod to sacrifice, before culminating in Saturday's Never Forget Night finale.

Each evening promises intense competition and substantial payouts, making this a crown jewel event on the USMTS calendar. Thursday pays $3,000 to win, Friday's victory earns $5,000 and $20,000 is just waiting for the winner to claim after Saturday';s finale.

Adding to the excitement, RacinDirt.com is offering $1,000 cash for the best patriotic-themed car wrap, with the USMTS awarding $500 to the runner-up design.

The event's patriotic spirit will be matched by unique trophies for each night's winners, along with a lineup of special activities still in the works.

In February, the USMTS turned to fans for inspiration, posting on Facebook to crowdsource the event's name. Brent Barker emerged as the winner, earning two free tickets for each night of the Red, White & Blue Nationals. His contribution helped shape what promises to be an unforgettable weekend.

Race organizers are urging fans to mark their calendars and book accommodations early, as this event is expected to draw crowds eager for both the racing and the tribute. With its blend of competition and commemoration, the Red, White & Blue Nationals at Tri-State Speedway is poised to be a must-see spectacle.

Located at 1705 W Race Track Rd, Pocola, OK 74902, the track sits just 1.6 miles west of the Arkansas-Oklahoma state line on US 271, then 0.3 miles north, making it easily accessible from nearby Fort Smith, Ark., and surrounding areas.

Celebrating over five decades of continuous operation, the speedway has been a staple of the local racing scene since its inaugural event on May 28, 1971.

Originally named Mighty Mouse Speedway when construction began in October 1970, the track was carved from a rocky hill using explosives to shape its distinctive high banks. Founded by the late Tillman Evans, it transitioned from an incomplete dirt layout to a paved surface later in 1971.

By 1979, it reverted to its current dirt configuration, which has since hosted a variety of stock car, modified, late model, and sprint car events. A fan-naming contest in the '70s led to its current name, Tri-State Speedway, reflecting the draw of racers from Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri.

The Tri-State Speedway offers a family-friendly atmosphere, and has seen upgrades like new concession stands, a track office, repaired grandstands, and improved exterior walls. The 2025 season marks its 55th consecutive year.

For the latest schedules, results, or contact details, the track's official website at tri-statespeedway.com and on Facebook are key resources, or call (918) 436-2914 for direct inquiries.

Tri-State Speedway remains a beloved venue, blending tradition, competition, and community spirit in the heart of Oklahoma's racing country.

The USMTS is the ultimate proving ground where only the fiercest, most skilled dirt slingers in North America dare to tread. This is where legends are forged, battles are won and the roar of engines drowns out the weak.

Since 1999, this is where the elite meet, and every driver from the top guns to the local heroes get a shot at glory at some of America's most brutal dirt tracks. This is where the Best of the Best in dirt modified racing come to show their mettle.

When it comes to outlaw dirt modified racing, the USMTS has no equal. USMTS is the Real Deal. Don't be afraid of the fast.
