Mondus inks new sponsor
LAKEVILLE, Minn. — Alan Mondus Racing announces the support and sponsorship of Torco Fuels of Decatur, Mich., as the official fuel and sponsor of the nationally-recognized modified touring team.
Twenty-year-old Alan Mondus of Lakeville, Minn., stated his excitement and relief to finally have a top-tier company associated and putting their endorsement in his abilities and program.
“I’ve always believed in us as a team, and my dedication as a driver to warrant a sponsor such as Torco,” Mondus said. “I’m just so relieved that the day has finally come.”
Team owner and father, Scott Mondus, mirrored his son’s excitement.
“This endorsement and association with Torco Fuels only confirms the ability of Alan, and the team that supports him. We are proud to have such a recognized company as one of our sponsors.”
The team travels as a regular entrant on the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS), and recently ended the 2007 season with their first win at Houston Raceway Park in November at the inaugural Texas Winter Nationals.
Picking right up where he left off, Alan followed that up early February 2008 by making the long trip to Speedweeks at the Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Fla., with strong showings against a big field of cars, scoring three top-10 finishes, including a top-five.
“I’m excited and the team is excited about our potential, and we can’t wait for the rest of the season to get going,” Alan said. “We could not be happier to have Torco on board for 2008.”
Alan Mondus Racing is also sponsored by Kasson Speedway, Real Racing Wheels, Brothers Jorgenson Racing, Fast Shafts and Pepsi of Rochester, Minn.
