Team Report: Mondus ends season strong


LAKEVILLE, Minn. - Alan Mondus Racing just completed it's 60-plus race season this last weekend.

The team was one of more than 700 drivers with the chance to qualify for one of 39 spots in the Casey's General Stores Hunt for the O'Reilly USMTS National Championship, where Mondus was seeded 13th going into the the final 14 races to determine the champion.

He had one top-5 and five top-10 finishes and wound up ninth in the final O'Reilly USMTS National Tour points.

With over 100 cars present this past weekend at the 10th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree, Mondus qualified for one of the 30 spots in all three feature events, with a high of sixth in Friday's main event.

The team is planning it's 2009 season at this time in hopes of entering a limited schedule on the ARCA RE/MAX Series, along with the team's established O'Reilly USMTS Modified program.
